Provenance — who produced it, who reused it
Linked to 2 papers in the literature. Roles are inferred factual signals (who deposited the data vs who reused it), with counts — never a judgement about any author.

Deep data QC
83/100 · BStandardized, field-standard QC computed by touching the data — every metric states how it was obtained · evidence: measured
This is a small-RNA sequencing library (miRNA-Seq on Illumina HiSeq 2000, human), correctly reflected in the ~24 bp mean read length that is characteristic of mature microRNAs. In QC terms it is a solid but not pristine dataset: base quality is excellent (Q30 at 96.3%, mean base quality 38.3, and effectively zero adapter and N content), which is what holds the score at a B and makes the per-base calls trustworthy for reuse. The grade was dragged down almost entirely by an 84.71% duplication rate, which scored 0 and is the single biggest detractor — though for a miRNA library this is partly expected, since a small set of highly abundant microRNAs is resequenced many times, so it reflects library complexity limits more than outright failure and chiefly caps sensitivity for lowly expressed species. With evidence_strength at 1 the quality metrics here were genuinely measured rather than extrapolated, so this reading is reliable rather than provisional; just note that total_reads and total_bases are reported values, so confirm depth independently if your analysis is coverage-sensitive.
The B grade is a transparent weighted average. Each metric below scored from 0–100% against the published bulk-RNA-seq thresholds, weighted by its importance; nothing is hidden or subjective.
