De novo DNA methylation (DNAme) occurs coincident with transcription during mouse oogenesis. As many oocyte transcripts originate in Long Terminal Repeats (LTRs), which are divergent across species, we examined whether polymorphic LTR-initiated transcription units (LITs) shape the oocyte methylome. We identified thousands of syntenic regions in mouse, rat and human, including CpG islands (CGIs), that show divergent DNAme associated with polymorphic LITs. Notably, many CGI promoters methylated ex...

Deep data QC

metadata only · no data-level QC for this type

Standardized, field-standard QC computed by touching the data — every metric states how it was obtained

No quantitative QC rubric exists for this data type yet, so it is deliberately left unscored — this is an honest "not applicable", not a poor rating.
