Anaplastic thyroid carcinomas (ATC) are rare, but represent the most lethal malignancy of the thyroid. Selective molecular markers and drivers distinguishing ATC from other thyroid carcinomas of follicular origin remain largely unknown, limiting advances in diagnosis and treatment.
