CircRNAs are a novel, poorly characterized class of non-coding RNAs that accumulate with age in neuronal tissues of diverse species. To characterize the role of circRNAs during ageing, we used RNA sequencing to analyse circRNA expression in Drosophila tissues (brain, thorax, gut and fat body) at different ages (day 10, 30 and 50) in wildtype (wDah) flies and long-lived insulin mutant flies (dilp 2-3,5)
