Hybrid short and long-read whole-genome sequencing of a hybrid between Schizosaccharomyces kambucha x S. pombe via HiSeq 2000 with ~9M reads at 97.5% Q30. This dataset enables genomic characterization of an engineered or natural yeast hybrid, useful for studying chromosome dynamics, meiotic pairing, and interspecific hybrid stability. The hybrid cross design enables interrogation of species boundaries and reproductive isolation mechanisms.
